It depends on scope. A kitchen usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, and a full commercial build-out 3 to 6 months. You get a detailed timeline before work starts.

Yes. We offer project management for investors and property management for owners, from renovations between tenants to ongoing repairs.
Can you design the space as well as build it?
Yes. Our design-build service covers concept, drawings, permits and construction under one contract and one point of contact.

Guide · 3 min readHow long does a kitchen renovation really take?
Most kitchens take 4 to 8 weeks of site work. Demolition and rough-ins take the first week or two, then cabinets go in, and countertops are templated once cabinets are installed. Stone usually arrives one to two weeks after templating.
The biggest delays are late material decisions and custom items with long lead times. We lock in selections before demolition so the crew never waits on a choice.

Cosmetic work like paint, flooring and replacing cabinets in the same layout usually doesn't. Work that changes structure, adds or moves plumbing, finishes a basement or builds out a commercial unit usually does.
Rules vary by city, so we confirm requirements with the municipality for every project and handle the drawings, applications and inspections.

Labour, cabinetry or millwork, stone and tile are usually the largest lines. Finish level moves the number most: the same bathroom can double in cost between standard and luxury fixtures and tile.
Keep a contingency of around 10 percent for what's found behind walls in older homes. Use the estimator above for a ballpark, then we'll confirm it on site.
